Cold is a somewhat ambiguous medical term. Cold or “cold symptoms” may refer in common usage to the “common cold” (the well-known viral infection of the respiratory system). Cold may also refer to “coldness” of the body where a person “feels cold” (e.g. shivering, chills, cold temperature, hypothermia, etc.). Another possibility is cold intolerance or cold sensitivity. Cold may also refer to a particular region of the body feeling cold, or similarly feeling cold to the touch (e.g. cold feet, cold hands, etc.). Read more about: Coldness, Common Cold
