Menopause

Menopause is the cessation of menstruation in adult women. The transition prior to full cessation of periods in menopause is called “perimenopause”. There are various symptoms of menopause such as menstrual irregularity (prior to eventual cessation) and “hot flashes” (i.e. facial flushing). After menopause, women are more susceptible to various post-menopausal disorders.
