Upper Respiratory System

The upper respiratory system, or upper respiratory tract, is the organs of the respiratory system (breathing) close to the nose and mouth. The most common disorder is an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URTI) such as a common cold, flu, croup, and so on. Upper Respiratory System: The sinuses and those parts of the respiratory system above the trachea. It includes the nares, nasopharynx, oropharynx, larynx, vocal cords, glottis and upper trachea.1
