Transverse Colon

Transverse Colon. The part of the large intestine that connects the hepatic flexure with the splenic flexure and which lies across the abdomen from right to the left.

Colon, Transverse: The segment of Large Intestine between Ascending Colon and Descending Colon. It passes from the Right Colic Flexure across the Abdomen, then turns sharply at the left colonic flexure into the descending colon.2
